In Kubernetes Cluster, you may encounter error similar to  group map[(...)] is already registered when trying to perform any actions using kubectl

Scenario:


Check the  kubectl Client Version and Kubernetes Server Version, make sure if the release version is same for Client and Server. The issue occurs when Client version is older than Server version.

You can use # kubectl version command to check the Client and Server version.


Solution:


Either update the kubectl client to latest version (or) update it to same version as Server.
For installing latest version of kubectl, refer: https://kubernetes.io/docs/tasks/tools/install-kubectl/

Version mismatch


[root@localhost ~]# /bin/kubectl version
